These terms govern your use of the 4Drive Uzbekistan booking platform and your relationship with the local rental companies that provide vehicles. By completing a booking, you accept these conditions in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
4Drive Uzbekistan operates a booking platform connecting clients with local rental companies across Uzbekistan. We facilitate the reservation process and collect the booking advance online. The actual rental agreement is a separate contract between you and the rental company, signed when you collect the vehicle.
Each rental company sets its own terms for vehicle use, damage liability, permitted routes, and additional services. These details appear in your voucher after booking. We provide the booking service; the rental company provides the vehicle and assumes responsibility for the rental contract.
Our role ends when you receive your voucher and confirmation. Any disputes regarding the vehicle condition, charges, or rental terms must be resolved directly with the rental company whose contact details appear in your voucher.
When you complete a booking on our platform, you receive a voucher containing the rental company details, collection instructions, and the terms specific to your reservation. This voucher is not the rental agreement itself.
The binding rental agreement is signed at the point of collection - at the counter, terminal, or upon delivery to your location in Tashkent, Samarkand, or other cities. The rental company staff will inspect the vehicle with you and record any existing damage in the contract. This document governs your rights and obligations during the rental period.
Collection times are chosen during the booking process. The rental company operating hours and collection procedures vary by location and appear in your voucher. Ensure you bring all required documents to avoid delays.
The booking advance is paid online by card when you complete your reservation on our platform. We do not accept cash payments online. This advance secures your booking and is non-refundable except as stated in the cancellation section.
The balance is due when you collect the vehicle. The accepted payment method - debit card, cash, or credit card - depends on the specific vehicle you have booked, not the vehicle class. Your voucher states which methods the rental company accepts for that particular booking.
If your debit card is required for the balance or the deposit, ensure your bank has set a limit sufficient to cover both amounts. We recommend contacting your bank before travel to confirm your card will work in Uzbekistan.
The rental company may require a deposit as a security hold on your card when you collect the vehicle. The deposit amount, the type of card accepted, and whether a deposit is required at all depend on the specific vehicle you have booked.
This deposit is separate from the rental payment and from any damage waiver or excess reduction you may purchase. The deposit is held as security for fuel, traffic fines, damage beyond the coverage limits, or late return. It is released after you return the vehicle and all checks are complete.
Some vehicles are available with no deposit required. This means no hold is placed on your card, but any damage waiver or excess still applies as stated in your rental agreement. The two are independent conditions.
The primary driver must present a valid driving licence at collection. Foreign licences are accepted in Uzbekistan, though an International Driving Permit is recommended. Minimum age, driving experience, and document requirements vary by rental company and vehicle type.
Additional drivers can be added for a fee paid directly to the rental company. Each driver must meet the same document and age requirements and be present at the time of collection to be added to the rental agreement.
Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle. Allowing an unlisted person to drive may void your coverage and make you liable for all costs in the event of an incident.
Vehicles must be driven in accordance with the laws of Uzbekistan. Urban speed limits are typically 60-70 km/h, intercity highways 90-100 km/h, and motorways 110 km/h. Right-hand traffic rules apply. There are no toll roads or vignette requirements.
Certain routes and road types may be restricted depending on your vehicle and rental agreement. Off-road use, mountain passes, and unpaved roads may be permitted only for specific vehicle types such as pickups or SUVs with 4WD capability. Your rental agreement will specify any restrictions.
Cross-border travel to neighbouring countries requires written permission from the rental company, arranged in advance. This service is available for an additional fee. Driving into other countries without documented permission is a serious breach and may result in vehicle confiscation and legal action.
Changes to your booking - dates, collection time, vehicle type - must be requested by email to [email protected]. We will check availability with the rental company and confirm whether the change is possible. Additional charges may apply.
Cancellations must also be submitted in writing to the same email address. Refund eligibility and any cancellation charges depend on how far in advance you cancel and the terms of your specific booking. Standard policies allow partial refunds for cancellations made more than a set number of days before collection.
No-shows or cancellations on the day of collection result in forfeiture of the booking advance. Late collection without prior notice may also incur fees or result in the booking being treated as a no-show.
The rental company is responsible for providing a roadworthy vehicle and maintaining it in safe operating condition. We are not liable for mechanical failures, accidents, or any issues arising during the rental period, as these fall under the rental agreement with the rental company.
You are responsible for the vehicle from the moment you take possession until you return it and the rental company confirms acceptance. Damage, theft, or loss must be reported to the rental company immediately. Your liability is governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any damage waiver or coverage you have purchased.
We are not liable for errors in information provided by rental companies, changes in local regulations, road conditions, fuel availability at Uzbekneftegaz or Lukoil stations, or any circumstances beyond our control that affect your booking or rental.
Issues related to the vehicle, collection procedure, charges, or the conduct of rental company staff must be raised directly with the rental company using the contact details in your voucher. This is the fastest way to resolve problems while your rental is active.
If you are unable to resolve a complaint with the rental company, or if your issue concerns our booking platform, payment processing, or voucher information, contact us at [email protected]. Please include your booking reference and details of the issue.
We will investigate complaints promptly and work with the rental company where necessary. However, we cannot override the terms of the rental agreement or compel the rental company to take specific action, as they are independent operators.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Uzbekistan. Any disputes arising from your use of the 4Drive Uzbekistan platform or these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uzbekistan.
The rental agreement you sign with the local rental company is also governed by the laws of Uzbekistan. That agreement may include dispute resolution procedures specific to the rental company.
