Clear terms for booking advance and balance payment
When you book a vehicle through 4Drive Uzbekistan, you pay a booking advance online by card at the time of reservation. This secures your vehicle for the dates and pickup location you have chosen. Cash payments are not accepted online. The amount of the advance is shown during the booking process and confirmed in your voucher.
The remaining balance is paid when you collect the vehicle. The payment method accepted for the balance depends on the specific vehicle you have reserved. Your voucher lists the permitted options: debit card, cash, or credit card. Check your voucher carefully before pickup to ensure you bring the correct form of payment. The local company issuing the vehicle will process the balance payment at their counter or delivery point.
All payments for the vehicle itself are made in Uzbek som (UZS). The booking advance is charged to your card in UZS at the prevailing exchange rate. Additional services such as a second driver, child seat, or written permission for cross-border travel to neighbouring countries are paid separately at pickup, also in UZS.
We accept the following card types for the online booking advance. All transactions are processed through a secure payment gateway, and your card details are encrypted during transmission.
The balance payment method depends on the specific vehicle you have reserved, not on the vehicle class or category. Some vehicles accept debit cards and cash for the balance. Others may require a credit card. Your voucher states exactly which payment types the local company will accept when you collect the vehicle.
If your voucher lists debit card or cash as acceptable options, you can pay the balance using either method. The currency for the balance is Uzbek som (UZS). ATMs are available at Tashkent International Airport (TAS) and throughout urban areas if you need to withdraw cash. Major fuel stations operated by Uzbekneftegaz and Lukoil also have ATMs nearby.
If you plan to pay the balance by debit card, confirm with your bank that your card has a sufficient daily spending limit. Some banks impose lower limits on debit card transactions, which may affect your ability to pay the balance in a single transaction. Increasing your limit in advance avoids delays at pickup.
Certain vehicles in our fleet are marked "no deposit" and do not require a credit card for either the balance payment or a blocked deposit. This does not affect insurance coverage or excess liability. The excess remains as stated in the terms for that vehicle. No deposit and no credit card are independent features of the vehicle's booking conditions.
Vehicles marked "no deposit" simplify the pickup process because the local company does not place a hold on your card. You pay only the balance due as shown in your voucher. This is particularly useful if you do not have a credit card or if your card has a low available limit.
Requirements vary by vehicle, not by class. A compact car may require a credit card and deposit, while a larger vehicle may not. Check the payment and deposit terms during booking. If you do not have a credit card, filter your search for vehicles marked "no deposit" or contact us at [email protected] for assistance. If you have a debit card, consider asking your bank to increase your daily limit to cover the balance payment and any optional services.
If the vehicle you have reserved requires a deposit, the local company will block a specified amount on your card at pickup. This blocked amount is not a charge. It is a temporary hold that reduces your available credit or balance until it is released. The exact amount is stated during booking and confirmed in your voucher.
The timing of the deposit refund depends on the local company and your card issuer. Most companies release the hold within 7 to 14 days after you return the vehicle without damage or traffic fines. Some card issuers take additional time to process the release and make the funds available again in your account. Your voucher provides the local company's contact details if you need to follow up on the refund status.
If there is damage to the vehicle or unpaid tolls or fines, the local company may deduct the relevant amount from the deposit. Any deductions and the remaining refund are detailed in the final paperwork you receive when you return the vehicle. Disputes about deposit deductions are handled directly with the local company, as they issue the vehicle and hold the deposit.
If you need to cancel your reservation, the refund of your booking advance depends on the cancellation policy for the vehicle you have reserved. Free cancellation is available for many vehicles up to a specified time before pickup. The exact deadline is shown during booking and confirmed in your voucher.
If you cancel within the free cancellation period, your booking advance is refunded to the same card you used for payment. The refund is processed within a few business days, though your card issuer may take additional time to credit your account. If you cancel after the free cancellation deadline or do not show up for pickup, the advance may be non-refundable. Check your voucher for the specific terms that apply to your reservation.
To cancel or modify your reservation, contact us at [email protected] or refer to the instructions in your voucher. We will confirm the cancellation and the refund amount based on the policy for your vehicle. For more details, see our terms and conditions.
All online payments are processed through a secure, encrypted payment gateway. We use industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your card information during transmission. Your card number, CVV, and expiry date are sent directly to the payment processor and are not stored on our servers or accessible to 4Drive Uzbekistan staff.
Most transactions require 3D Secure authentication, which adds an extra layer of security. Your card issuer may send you a one-time code by SMS or prompt you to approve the transaction through your banking app. If your transaction is declined, check with your bank that your card is enabled for international payments and that you have sufficient funds or available credit.
If you experience any issues with payment or have questions about charges on your statement, contact us at [email protected]. Our office is located in Yunusabad, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and we are available Monday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (GMT+5). We will investigate and resolve any payment concerns promptly.
No. The booking advance must be paid online by card when you make your reservation. Cash payments are not accepted online. The balance can be paid in cash at pickup only if your voucher lists cash as an accepted method for that specific vehicle.
Contact your bank before your pickup date and ask them to increase your daily spending limit. Most banks can raise the limit temporarily or permanently. Alternatively, if your voucher allows cash payment, you can withdraw Uzbek som from ATMs at Tashkent International Airport or in the city and pay the balance in cash.
If you cancel within the free cancellation period, the booking advance is refunded to your card within a few business days. Your card issuer may take additional time to process the refund and credit your account. The exact cancellation terms and deadlines are shown in your voucher.
